Rachel Bloom Health Sciences Data Steward Rachael Bloom is the Health Sciences Data Steward within the Research Data Management Core. In this role, they support researchers across UNC with understanding data management and sharing policies, implementing best practices and standards for research data management, and identifying resources, tools, and expertise to address researcher data management needs, with the specific focus on the biomedical and health sciences research. Rachael earned her PhD in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University and her BA in Biology from UNC.

Title:  Best Practices in Data Management and Sharing

Objectives: Attendees will learn the requirements around data management and sharing and explore how to incorporate data management and sharing best practices and standards into their normative research practices. Attendees will also understand the data management and sharing guidance, support, services, and resources available to them at UNC.

The session will be hybrid.
In-person session will take place in NC TraCS,  Brinkhous-Bullitt Building, 2nd floor, Conference Rm 226. The room will be available until 1:30, for networking opportunities with colleagues after the presentation.
