The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is accepting applications for the Postdoctoral Award for Research Excellence (PARE award). The awards, open to postdocs in all disciplines, are designed to recognize the important contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to UNC’s research enterprise. PARE awards recognize postdoctoral scholars who demonstrate excellence and exceptional promise during their UNC postdoctoral appointment. Awards recognize achievements in research, leadership, advocacy, service, mentoring, and teaching to the UNC community. Five postdoctoral scholars will be recognized, and have the opportunity to present their research during UNC-CH’s Research week, and will receive a $1,200 award.
Postdocs who plan on applying for the Postdoctoral Awards for Research Excellence are encouraged to attend the virtual information session on zoom led by Alan Marsh, PhD, Associate Director for the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and Essie Torres, PhD, Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.
