Curious about how to explore career paths, build meaningful professional relationships, or connect with people doing work you’re interested in? Join us for a practical session on informational interviewing and leveraging LinkedIn (along with other networking tools) to expand your career horizons.

In this workshop, we’ll break down what an informational interview is, why it’s such a powerful tool for postdocs and graduate students, and how to confidently reach out to professionals in fields you want to learn more about. You’ll also learn strategies for finding potential contacts, crafting effective outreach messages, and using LinkedIn to identify shared interests, alumni connections, and career trajectories.

Whether you’re exploring options, preparing for a transition, or simply trying to understand what roles exist beyond your lab or department, this session will give you concrete steps to build your network and gather insights that support your career development.

Lunch will be provided.
