Hosted by the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Data Science and Society, Data Science Day 2025 is a celebration of the growing data science research community across North Carolina. The theme of this year is "Data Science Across North Carolina," highlighting the interdisciplinary and impactful research happening statewide. The event will foster interinstitutional connections and showcase the power of data-driven discovery by bringing together current and future researchers from across the state to share their work and spark new collaborations
The day will include a keynote from the NC’s Department of Information Technology’s deputy secretary for artificial intelligence and policy, I-Sah Hsieh as well as short talks and breakout sessions from higher education researchers across North Carolina. The School of Data Science and Society also invites students and postdoctoral researchers to participate in a poster session.
