It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the Merrimon Lecture scheduled for March 27, 2025. Our speaker is unable to come due to personal circumstances. We extend our sincere apologies knowing that many of us look forward to this event every year. We plan for the Merrimon Lectureship to return in the new academic year.

Women’s Health Research: Transforming Science, Advancing Clinical Care, Ensuring Momentum
This year's speaker is Carolyn M. Mazure, PhD. Dr. Mazure is the Norma Weinberg Spungen and Joan Lebson Bildner Professor in Women’s Health Research, and Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology, Yale School of Medicine. In 2023, Dr. Mazure was appointed Chair of the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research, which aims to fundamentally change how the nation approaches and funds women’s health research.
The Merrimon Lectureship sponsors an annual event of public lectures and consultations involving a distinguished senior speaker addressing issues in the ethics and history of the health professions.
