Chitlin Circuit Re-enactment:

September 13 : Musical Performance and Historical Exhibition -- Commemorating the segregation-era resistance of marginalized Black performers who were excluded from White clubs and forced instead to perform at Black-owned venues. This showcase features a live performance, an historical exhibition, and food and fellowship that will bring to life the founding and evolution of funk music.

Diaspora Festival of Black and Independent Film Screenings (2024):

Sept. 26 | Opening Night -- featuring “ARTE CONGO…ARTISTS JOURNEY ON THE CONGO COAST OF PANAMÁ,” written, produced, directed and narrated by Atlanta-based veteran artist, scholar and filmmaker Dr. Arturo Lindsay.
Evening Screening Sessions, start time 6:30PM | A selection of film from all corners of the African Diaspora, followed by comments and Q&A with filmmakers and audience. Please visit the Stone Center Website for details and screening schedule.
