Community college students are transitioning into a global workforce where they will need to adapt to evolving local and global challenges and opportunities. The 2024 UNC World View Community College Symposium, "
Thriving Globally: What's Next for Community College Students," will bring community college educators together to explore global themes that are relevant to various disciplines, including business, health, and education.
Educators will engage in plenary talks, panel discussions, and interactive themed sessions to gain global knowledge and resources on how to incorporate global teaching and learning.
This program is designed for community college educators of all disciplines, as well as administrators and staff. We encourage you to bring a team to this day of learning and networking!
To view the latest schedule for this event, please check out the program website
here.
10 hours of Professional Development Contact Hours (PDCH) will be awarded to participants who attend all sessions and complete the study guide located on the program landing page. Please begin to make plans for bringing new information and resources to your instruction.
In preparation for the 10:00 am session on Preparing Community College Students for Global Business, please complete
this assessment (10 minutes, free) to better understand how you tend to communicate and work in cross-cultural teams- whether it is in the United States or with your colleagues from diverse backgrounds or globally. Please ensure you save your results.
The symposium will take place at the
Friday Conference Center located at 100 Friday Center Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. Parking is available in the visitor lot just outside the building, and please remember to display your
parking pass on your car’s dashboard.
