Please join us for a community-based reading group of a classic Greek play, Euripides’ Alcestis, in order to show how these texts can be used to have conversations about pressing societal issues. With a story at the center of discussion, community members can begin to tackle questions like: What responsibilities do we have toward one another? How do we determine right and wrong? We will demonstrate the method of implementing reading groups across ages and backgrounds in community settings by bringing together Carolina community and the Seymour Center.
