The 2024 McNeil African American History Month Lecture at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will be delivered by Dr. Keisha Blain (Brown Univ.) on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 7:00p.m. 

Prior to the inaugural MeNeil lecture in 2023, the annual African American History Month Lecture was organized each year by the UNC at Chapel Hill History Department with the support of other units across the campus.

In 2023, the lecture was endowed and named for Dr. Genna Rae McNeil (retired, UNC-CH History) who left a legacy of scholarship, influential teaching, respectful discourse, advocacy for equality and, above all, multitudes of students who went on to achieve great accomplishments.
