Thank you for registering for AFIRM for Toddlers: Prompting for 3 Continuing Education units (CEs).
This online self-paced module is designed for early intervention providers working with caregivers (families and childcare providers) of toddlers.
In this AFIRM module, Prompting for Toddlers, EI providers will review basic knowledge about this practice for toddlers and learn how to plan with and coach caregivers to use and monitor progress of this practice. Prompting (PP) procedures are verbal, gestural, and/or physical assistance given to learners to help them in acquiring or engaging in a targeted behavior or skill (e.g., Barton, 2015; Barton & Wolery, 2010; Carlson et al., 2009). Adults generally give prompts before or as a toddler attempts to use a skill.
