Thank you for registering for AFIRM4Paras Module: Visual Cues for 2 Continuing Education units (CEs).

This online self-paced module is designed for paraprofessionals who work with and/or support autistic learners in elementary school and their families in a variety of learning environments.

In this AFIRM4Paras module, Visual Cues, professionals will learn the basics, as well as how to plan for, use, and monitor the evidence-based practice. Visual cues are concrete objects used to increase the autistic learner's ability to complete a target skill or behavior. This module targets the types of visual cues, such as visual directions or instructional cues, and provides interactive case activities for each of the planning for, using, and monitoring visual cue steps.

  1. This module is designed for individual participants.
  2. Upon AFIRM account creation, each participant will have unlimited access to all AFIRM modules and resources.
  3. In order to recieve your CE Certificate, be sure you have
    1. Completed the module content
    2. Scored at least 70 in the post assessment
    3. Completed a module evaluation
  4. NOTICE: The registration fee for this module is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  5. Have your credit card information on hand before you continue with this registration.  Only VISA or MasterCard accepted.

NOTE: If you have found this course through the UNC Event Registration System, you will need to go to the AFIRM website (afirm.fpg.unc.edu) to register and take the AFIRM4Paras: Visual Cues module. Once you complete the module, you will have the option to pay for the CEs through the UNC Event Registration System.
