"RUNNING THROUGH THE AGES"
UNC Therapy Services presents the 2nd Annual UNC Running Symposium to be held on Friday, May 3, 2024. Running medicine healthcare professionals are invited to the Research Triangle in NC to participate in a day long program specifically designed for practitioners who have an interest in work with and treating running athletes. The day of learning will include presentations on diagnosis, treatment, research, education and prevention of athletic injuries presented by experts from many different areas including Physical Therapy, Orthopaedic Medicine, Women’s Health, Nutrition, Sports Psychology, and Technology in running footwear and recovery tools. The format will be a series of lectures with ample time for Q&A and break times for networking with the presenters and colleagues as well an opportunity to visit our vendors exhibiting their latest trends in footwear, apparel, and running technology.
Lunch will be provided.
Certified CEUs will be provided for PT, PTA, and ATC (category D).
New for 2024:
There will be a second half day lab portion on Saturday, May 4, 2024 held at the UNC Wellness Center in Northwest Cary.
This smaller hands-on experience will feature clinics on strengthening and running drills, yoga for runners, and other interactive sessions.
Additional CEUs will be available and space for the lab will be limited to first 60 persons who sign up.
