CIDD Virtual Community Talk Series: October 11, 6:30-8pm: Voters Rights with Kenya Myers from Disability Rights NC

Disability Rights NC (DRNC), our state's Protection and Advocacy organization for people with disabilities, works to support voters with disabilities in understanding and exercising their right to vote. Voters with disabilities are the most disenfranchised groups of citizens who are eligible to vote. Hear how DRNC combats this disparity and educates us on the best ways to get out and vote.

Kenya Myers joined DRNC in January 2019 as an experienced voting rights advocate. During the 2016 election cycle, she developed and implemented a strategic election protection plan that doubled the capacity of the program, expanding the statewide footprint from 36 to 79 counties. Her advocacy campaigns increased minority recruitment and participation.
