SummaryThe UNC Sports Medicine Institute Conference is held annually to present novel research and up-to-date information to improve the care of active individuals. In alignment with our multidisciplinary approach to care, speakers include orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and advanced practice providers, rehabilitation providers, and sport science researchers. This year’s conference will focus on: multidisciplinary shoulder care, women in sports, and technology-informed care.
AgendaConference education sessions will be held from 8 am – 5 pm, with snack breaks and lunch included. Each session will include several speakers followed by a moderated panel Q&A. Speakers will be UNC Chapel Hill and external faculty who are national experts on these topics. In alignment with our multidisciplinary approach to care, speakers will include orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, rehabilitation providers, and sport science researchers.

Cancellation policyYou may cancel your registration for a refund minus a 20% administration fee until Sept 8. Beginning September 9, there will be no refunds; however, if you are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances (i.e. quarantine or active COVID infection, natural disaster, death in family), registration fee can be carried forward to next year’s conference with approval. To request a refund or future credit, email UNCSMI@med.unc.edu.
