Life, as we know it, has been and continues to be full of uncertainties and stress-inducing challenges resulting in a general disruption in our daily lives. To have the resiliency to cope with and recover from these difficulties that, to some extent, have been out of our control, it will be helpful to develop the capacity to find and nurture the positive parts of ourselves and our situations. Practicing mindfulness can provide us with simple and reliable strategies to enhance life quality both now and in the future.
Participation in this Retreat will Provide you with the opportunity to:
Slow down, quiet the mind, and rest.
Spend time outside in nature while being guided in Mindfulness Meditation practices.
Enjoy alone time for reflection.
Socialize and connect with other participants.
Mindfulness Practices Included in this Workshop:
What is your body telling you? Body Scan Meditation to enhance the Mind Body connection.
Free time for reflection as you enjoy the beautiful grounds at Camp New Hope.
Seated Meditation Practices.
Walking Meditation.
Mindful Communication.
Loving Kindness Meditation for Developing Self-compassion and Gratitude.
This Retreat is held at New Hope Camp and Conference Center in an outside covered pavilion.
Please wear comfortable clothing.
Seating is provided, but you are welcome to bring your outdoor chair.
We will have a silent lunch period. Please bring a bag lunch and snacks as you prefer.
