CFE and TEAM ADVANCE Professional Development Workshop for Early-Career Faculty

Dr. Sheila KannappanProfessor, Physics and Astronomy, College of Arts and SciencesThis two-hour workshop focuses on negotiation and communication skills. It is especially tailored for women faculty in academia, but many topics are of broad relevance and all are welcome. Topics include strategies and skills essential for:
- interacting optimally with peers, colleagues, and advisors
- negotiating effectively for resources and rewards
- managing conflict and knowing when to seek help
- creating a positive impression that will help you achieve your professional goals
The workshop will be held in-person in Peabody Hall 2094. The workshop space will accommodate our cohort and provide for social distancing, as needed. Following registration, you will receive an Outlook invitation confirming location details.
Faculty participating in TEAM ADVANCE programs, including Peer Mentoring Circles, are highly encouraged to attend.
