This in-person orientation session is required for all coordinators new to the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) prior to seeing subjects at the CTRC. The training provides general coordinator training and information specific to using the CTRC for research visits such as how to schedule visits in CRMS CTRC Scheduler, documents used in addition to Epic for nurse intensive visits (paper orders and flow sheets), use of processing lab in room 1035 and requesting simple phlebotomy draws, hours of operation, and how to obtain badge access; as well as brief overviews of NC TraCS Institute, UNC Radiology, and UNC Healthcare's Research Nutrition and Restaurant delivery services. The lecture presentation is followed by a walkthrough of the unit. The orientation sessions are generally held on the 1st Monday and the 3rd Tuesday of every month (excluding weeks with at least one university designated holiday) however attendance is required for only one session. For any questions or if unable to attend, please contact Janette Goins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
