Making time for a mental health break during the semester can be challenging, but it’s important to recharge every day. Research suggests that crafting, like knitting, contributes to well-being in adults and that some types of crafting, such as doodling, can help with learning and recall. Join us to learn more about why this is the case and experience the benefits for yourself! Drop into a Craft of Teaching session at the CFE for a brief introduction to a teaching-related concept plus a practical tip you can start using right away, followed by casual conversation and crafting. Bring your own craft project or relax with a simple activity provided by the CFE (think adult coloring books and paint-by-number). In our first session, we’ll discuss the role of creativity in learning and share some activities to try with your students. Please register here so that we can provide supplies!
