Join the Science Policy and Advocacy GroupĀ and the North Carolina Conservation Network for cookies and a panel on the emerging science of PFAS and its consequences for water treatment andĀ public health. The panel will discuss advances in PFAS research, with Dr. Rebecca Fry representing the UNC Environmental Sciences and Engineering Department, along with implementation and practical considerations for water utilities, which OWASA Executive Director Todd Taylor and Pittsboro Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Cory Saulsbury know well. Finally, Emily Sutton, the Haw Riverkeeper, will discuss what this means for the environment and protecting our waterways.
