Science and Security has become an important framework for protecting the future of open research at universities that accept US federal funding. Since 2018, UNC Chapel Hill has observed increasing attention and concern from NIH and law enforcement. This discussion will examine what faculty need to know and do to be prepared for new rules and expectations from our federal funders and law enforcement partners.
