Join MAGS for breakfast and a discussion with Amy Rodriguez, PA-C
Amy will lead us in discussion about "Thriving Post Transition" from the military. We'll explore building an intentional community; the journey from the military to the "civilian world;" and success in the classroom.
Facilitator info: Amy Rodriguez is an Army Veteran and Physician Assistant. She grew up as a "military brat" and is the oldest (and wisest!) of 4 siblings. She is a graduate of West Point ('06).
In the Army, she served in the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division (2 deployments to Iraq and 1 to Haiti), and was a Paratrooper and Jumpmaster. After serving, she came to Chapel Hill to do pre-reqs for PA school and attended PA school at Wake Forest University. She joined Campus Health in October 2017.
When she's not at Campus Health, you can find her running, competing in triathlons, traveling, and hiking with her dog, Penny. Amy is also a former skydiver with almost 800 skydives. She was on the U.S. National Parachute Team and competed at the 2006 World Championship in Russia. Fun fact: Amy was on Wheel of Fortune during Veteran's Week!
