This online self-paced module is designed for paraprofessionals who work with and/or support elementary school learners with autism and their families in a variety of learning environments.
In this AFIRM4Paras module, Reinforcement, professionals will learn how to plan for, use, and monitor the evidence-based practice. Reinforcement describes the relationship between learner behavior and a consequence that follows the behavior. This relationship is reinforcing only if the consequence increases the likelihood the learner will perform the skill or behavior in the future.

NOTE: If you have found this course through the UNC Event Registration System, you will need to go to the AFIRM website (afirm.fpg.unc.edu) to register and take the Reinforcement module. Once you complete the module, you will have the option to pay for the CEs through the UNC Event Registration System.
