This interactive webinar builds on the Introduction to PubMed course regularly offered by HSL. In this session, we will help you refine an existing search strategy using advanced searching techniques, including: MeSH, field tags, and automatic term mapping.

We will also provide tips on locating highly relevant literature for clinical questions, phrase searching, and translating a PubMed search strategy to other databases. This class will be highly interactive and participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups and practice with hands-on literature searching.

This 1 hour session will be followed by an optional 30 minute "open lab" to ask questions and dig deeper into your specific search strategy.

Participants should plan to bring a draft search strategy for a current or future research project that you would like to refine in this workshop. (If not, we'll provide a sample topic and search.)
