You may have read that at least one COVID cluster has been identified at UNC-CH in the last few days. We want to minimize risk to our newest students, as well as staff and faculty. Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling the Gillings Building Community Student Mixers.

We will instead delay passing out swag items until later in the Fall semester. Once the new event dates have been scheduled, I will email all students with those details.

Gillings Building Community Student Mixer Event was created to encourage 1st year students to build community amongst students, staff, and faculty from all departments, central administrative units, degree programs and concentrations in the school. This event series will be part of the Gillings Welcome & Orientation Event schedule beginning Fall 2021 and will be hosted annually by the Gillings Student Affairs Office. Students will enjoy music while receiving their annual welcome swag gifts. Healthy snacks provided. Students will be required to register in the UNC Registration System.
