The Inclusive Excellence team believes all members of the Gillings School co-create the learning and working spaces we all inhabit. We are excited to welcome incoming students to the School community and aid your transition into your respective program(s).

Faculty, staff, and students will share discussions and reflections on the following topics:

The history of racism in public health and at Gillings/UNC
Co-creating inclusive learning spaces
Centering inclusion in language and writing
Social justice and activism at Gillings and beyond

The modules are intended to help you connect what you learned in COMPASS to some of the content and experiences you will navigate throughout your program(s). Modules will be shared for asynchronous review during Orientation in preparation for synchronous debrief sessions held during the week of August 9th. Please watch the training videos and then join a debrief discussion with other 1st year students.
