This basic infection control on-line course is divided into 7 modules A through G. Several of the modules  have video components to reinforce instruction. Each module must be completed with a grade of 80% on a short quiz before moving to the next. Topics are: NC infection control laws; OSHA standards, epidemiology and risk of infection, outbreaks and safe injection practices, principles and practice of asepsis, disinfection and sterilization, and application of cleaning-disinfection in the environment. After completing the modules, learners evaluate the course and obtain an auto-filled course completion certificate. The course is self-paced; learners can log in and out as needed.
