You're invited to join the Injury Prevention Research Center on October 1 to hear Dr. Carol Runyan, a leading researcher in injury and violence research and named one of the most influential leaders in injury control by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,  deliver a lecture entitled, "Addressing suicide prevention through lethal means counseling in emergency care."

Dr. Runyan will discuss her intervention studies focused on pediatric populations in selected hospitals, as well as a region-wide exploration of how hospitals, law enforcement and gun retailers might work together to address safety planning. She will discuss findings and issues encountered in conducting this type of work.

Directions and Parking:

You can find driving directions here. Visitors may park in the Dogwood Deck. After you park your car in Dogwood, travel up Manning Drive to the intersection with S. Columbia. Take a right on S. Columbia and Bondurant Hall will be the fourth building on the right. Be sure to leave yourself 15 minutes to travel from the parking deck to Bondurant. There is an hourly fee of $1.50 to park in Dogwood.
