This interdisciplinary discussion will focus on education research journal articles that participants will identify and share with the group. Participants will gain ideas for new teaching strategies, learn how students learn more effectively and how to assess students’ progress through published evidence-based studies. The paper discussed at this journal club will be Freeman et al 2014 PNAS - Active Learning Increases Student Performance in STEM. Co-sponsored between Future Science Educators group and CIRTL at UNC Chapel Hill.
