The ImPACTprogram, which is part of TIBBS, gives life science graduate students and postdocs the opportunity to do paid internships at local companies.  Since 2015, over 100 interns have gained valuable career experience in organizations at the forefront of R&D, science policy, technology transfer/business development, teaching, administration, outreach and other sectors of the research enterprise. At this event, the 2018 interns will present posters about their experiences and how it helped shape their career path.  

Following the poster session we will open the 2019 ImPACT application season with an explanation of the program, how to apply, internship options, how interns are matched, etc.  The ImPACT leadership (Drs. Patrick Brandt, Patrick Brennwald and Beka Layton) will be present to answer questions throughout the event. Any interested graduate student or postdoc is welcome to attend, and if you plan to apply for an ImPACT internship in 2019 we especially hope to see you there. 

Scientists and business leaders from past and future internship host organizations will also be present and networking opportunities will abound during the poster session and a reception afterward.  

Heavy hors d'oeurves, wine, and other food and drinks will be served.  Dress is business casual.
