A rich web of professional relationships can be as important to long-term career success as education, expertise, and experience. In this seminar we will explore the ins and outs of networking and building professional relationships. We develop an approach to networking that focuses on leveraging personal styles, especially as they relate to preferences for introversion and extraversion. We then delve into some practical applications of our newfound networking mindset, including the use of LinkedIn, making introductions, and networking effectively at large and small events.

Outcomes

• Learn the value of visibility and building relationships for the modern career.

• Understanding introversion and extraversion with respect to networking and

communicating in professional relationships.

• Adopt a new mindset for networking that builds meaningful and productive professional

relationships.

• Acquire tools and techniques that instill confidence and allow practitioners to quickly build

and enhance networking relationships.
