Sessions and Learning Overview
This new advanced series offers an opportunity for academic leaders to deepen their self-awareness and leadership skills. Leadership Advanced series is an open enrollment program for leaders with experience or have taken other leadership fundamentals programs.
To further develop a leader's understanding of their style and approach to leading we will consider some of the following assessments and tools: Using the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) for communications, giving feedback, conflict, problem solving, decision-making, coaching and building groups/teams; Emotional Intelligence (EQ); Strengths Finder; Covey's 7 Habits of Effective Leaders.
Building on the leader's self-awareness and understanding how to adapt to others' differences, this series will offer topics to further develop leadership skills to effectively build relationships. Our topics will include: leading change; creating and inspiring a vision; influencing; mentoring and coaching.
