"Closing the Gap: How to Negotiate a Better Salary" presents proven strategies through which women can effectively negotiate a better salary, whether for a new position or for a raise in a current position.

The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Noah Eisenkraft, an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  He received his PhD and Masters degrees in Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelors degree in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Harvard University.

Noah's research and teachings focus on negotiations, social networks and emotional well-being at work. His negotiations class is the most popular elective in UNC's MBA program, and he regularly conducts negotiations workshops or consults about negotiations with clients in the public and private sectors. Noah's clients include the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force, the Department of Veteran's Affairs, Federal Express, Kroeger, Owens Corning and Exxon Mobil.

Lunch is provided.

Co-sponsored by the Association of Women Faculty and Professionals and the Carolina Women's Center.  AWFP members in paid standing will receive priority in registering.
