Design thinking is a creative problem solving approach that prioritizes desirability, feasibility, and viability. Design thinking is being applied more and more in public health practice and research and is well aligned with other approaches including community-based participatory research and implementation science. Want to learn more? Join Design Thinking Lead and Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good Director Liz Chen and Design Thinking Fellow Macie Rush (Health Behavior concentration MPH candidate c/o 2022) in a 1-hour virtual panel with four recent Gillings MPH alumni who are using design thinking in their public health work. The panelists are: Margaret Nemitz (MPH ’20 – Health Behavior), Emily Skywark (MPH ’21 – Health Behavior), Marlyn Pulido (MPH ’21 – Health Behavior) and Jared Bishop (MPH '21 – Health Equity).
