Ben Lee MRes, PhD Consultant at BCG Dallas

With the Bridge to BCG application deadline approaching on March 23rd, most candidates are focused on the "how" of applying. This session is designed to take that conversation a step further. Join the Graduate Business Career Club (GBCC) for a "Beyond the Bench" seminar with Ben Lee, a PhD-turned-Consultant at BCG Dallas, for a candid look at the transition from academia to high-intensity casework.
Rather than a generic recruiting overview, this moderated Q&A will focus on differentiation and the reality of the firm.Ben will share his perspective on what it actually looks like to ramp up quickly, earn trust from managers, and perform at a high level from Day 1.

Key Discussion Themes:
• The "Bridge" and Beyond: What the program prepares you for, and how to use that foundation to hit the ground running.
• Resume Signal: In a pool of high-achieving PhDs, what actually cuts through the noise?
• The Reality of the Ramp: A behavioral look at the first 90 days—what distinguishes someone who thrives in a 60-plus-hour week from someone who struggles?
• Office & Team Dynamics: How internal reputation and "case staffing" really work inside a top-tier firm.

Who Should Attend: This session is open to all PhDs, MDs, PharmDs, and Postdocs. It is specifically geared toward trainees who are currently preparing their Bridge to BCG or full-time applications and are looking for a deeper understanding of the professional expectations and culture of the firm.
