Join Kevin D. Hopkins, MD, Physician Director, Health System Engagement at the American Medical Association (AMA), for an engaging and timely session exploring the national landscape of clinician wellbeing. Dr. Hopkins will highlight the AMA’s strategic efforts to support physicians and health systems in addressing burnout, improving professional fulfillment, and advancing sustainable healthcare practices. This session will provide valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and actionable strategies to promote clinician wellbeing across academic and clinical environments.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to successfully:

(1) Describe the current state of clinician professional satisfaction and burnout,
(2) Explain driving factors contributing to burnout,
(3) Understand factors which support clinician wellbeing, helping mitigate and prevent burnout, and
(4) Identify what the AMA is doing to help support clinician and organizational wellbeing and access resources supporting these efforts
