Infection Prevention in Nursing Homes

This course is a basic infection prevention training for ALL nursing home staff.  The course consists of 6 modules: 1) Breaking the Chain of Infection, 2) Multidrug-Resistant Organisms, 3) Safe Injection Practices, 4) Environmental Disinfection, 5) UTI Prevention in Nursing Homes, and 6) C. difficile Prevention in Nursing Homes.

NOTE:  Courses must be completed within 90-days or re-registration and payment will be required.


Criteria for awarding contact hours:

·   
Learners must complete the entire educational activity

·   Learners must successfully complete a post-test (attendee must score 80% or higher) at the end of each module

·   Learners must complete the evaluation form

Learner outcome:
95% of learners will self-assess an increase in knowledge of basic infection control practices.
