NCCMA Annual Conference, Feb. 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration: College media staffs and advisers in North Carolina are invited to participate in our annual conference aimed at encouraging and improving college media operations on public and private university and college campuses.

2026 Co-host: Elon University

When:  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28

Deadline to Register: Feb. 20

Where:  Elon University

  • Break-out sessions and panel discussions for those on yearbook, news and literary magazine staffs.
  • Free 30-minute student media critiques the day of the conference. (You must pre-register for these, however. Send an email with "NCCMA Critiques" and the name of your campus in the subject line to Annah Howell at schwartza18@ecu.edu by Feb. 20.)
  • Contest results: Best of Show and individual winners will be announced. 

Cost:  $30 per person. No refunds will be issued. No cancelations may be made. Use this event registration system for each person to register individually and to pay the $30 registration fee. 2. Confirmation and conference information will be sent on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

$250 Student Media Stipend: Students, apply for NCCMA's annual $250 Student Media Stipend. Conference attendees are eligible to propose a student media project of any kind and compete for a $250 stipend from NCCMA. Project proposals must be for work to be published in or shared through a student media outlets. Applications are to be submitted by 10 a.m. on the day of the conference.
