The STEMM Education Research Collaborative: A Carolina Seminar Series
Dear UNC Colleagues,
We are excited to share with you that the STEMM Education Research Collaborative has returned! We invite you to join us for the Fall 2025 SERC Sessions - as a presenter and attendee! We will kick off the year with three opportunities to present lightning talks and socialize together – anyone who indicated their interest in sharing their work will receive a separate invitation to be our inaugural lightning talk presenters for these first two events (stay tuned for more options in the future as well, and more meeting/presentation/interactive formats as well!). We will feature 2-3 of our colleagues’ work in short 5-minute highlights reels for each session, combined with Q&A, discussion, and/or some interactive networking to meet new colleagues (and perhaps future collaborators!) from across disciplines at UNC.
SAVE THE DATE - FALL 2025:
Wednesday, October 1 – Coffee & Cookies @12-1p – Bondurant G074
Tuesday, November 4 – Coffee & Cookies @12-1p – Bondurant G074
Wednesday, December 10 - Bondurant G074
Note: Due to new budgetary restrictions, we will be testing out a BYO Brown Bag Lunch format, but we will provide Snacks, Desserts + Beverages! We will also be testing out a hybrid format with both virtual and in-person options this fall to allow for broader participation across campus. We were able to reserve Bondurant G074 for the whole fall semester to create an easy-to-find centralized and consistent location as well for the in-person meeting space. Look forward to seeing you soon! Register today to reserve your spot!

As a reminder, the STEMM Education Research Collaborative is a group of education researchers who hope to build a community across disciplines (including Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine - STEMM). We would like to invite you to join us in starting a community of researchers at Carolina focusing on higher education scholarship - from undergraduate to graduate to postdoctoral education and training; to med education; to STEMM pipeline and admissions evaluations; to faculty training and development of the academic research enterprise; to classroom-based, lab-course, and teaching scholarship; and beyond. This group broadly encompasses faculty, staff, and other scholars across campus who engage in education research.
