The “Leadership Starts With Me” Visiting Professorship is an initiative designed to enhance leadership development across the UNC School of Medicine. Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development (FALD), this professorship provides departments with the opportunity to bring distinguished leaders to campus to share insights on leadership in academic medicine.

Dr. Carol Bradford, Dean of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and former President of the American Head and Neck Society, invites participants into an open discussion about leadership, resilience, and growth in academic medicine. A true trailblazer—the first woman to lead the Society and a member of the National Academy of Medicine—Dr. Bradford will share honest insights and practical wisdom on how to lead with authenticity, build influence, and find balance along the way.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Co-sponsored by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development and the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, UNC SOM.
