This workshop covers the various stages involved with writing up and publishing findings from a qualitative research study. Course content is designed for researchers who intend to publish their findings in a peer-reviewed journal, and well as those who are responsible for reviewing qualitative research papers. Topics covered include:

•          Developing a publication plan, to ensure smooth workflow

•          Choosing the best journal(s) for your research

•          Drafting concise, yet informative Abstracts

•          Writing the Methods and Results sections for applied qualitative research papers

•          Post-submission: dealing with reviews and editors

Ultimately, the workshop is designed increase participants’ chances of manuscript acceptance. Some time will, therefore, be spent on discussing principles of effective scientific writing. Course structure includes lecture, interactive discussion, and hands-on exercises.

This course will count as 6.00 CSS short course hours.
