Faculty leadership extends beyond holding formal positions—it’s also about the influence faculty have through their teaching, service, research, and mentorship. This interactive workshop encourages faculty to recognize the leadership they demonstrate across their roles, even if they have not previously considered themselves leaders. Through reflection and discussion, participants will identify qualities of effective leaders that resonate with them, articulate the values that guide their leadership, and draw connections to how they lead in their different faculty roles. Participants will also brainstorm next steps in their leadership and professional development.

This professional development workshop is open to all faculty, tenure-line or fixed-term. Early- and mid-career faculty, as well as emerging faculty leaders, are strongly encouraged to attend.
