Navigating verbal and nonverbal communication styles in the context of the United States and the American South can be confusing at times. Join ISSS, OPA, and English Language Specialists from The Writing and Learning Center to learn more about verbal and nonverbal communication styles with specific opportunities to reflect on similarities and differences that exist across cultures. Throughout this session, we will reflect on cultural orientations, and verbal and non-verbal norms, and discuss strategies to navigate interactions when you are uncertain of communication norms.
