Summary
The UNC Sports Medicine Institute Conference is held annually to present up-to-date information and novel research to improve the care of active individuals. In alignment with our multidisciplinary approach to care, speakers include a variety of healthcare professionals and researchers who are experts in sports medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation and exercise science.  

Agenda
Conference education sessions will be held from 8 am – 5 pm, with snack breaks and lunch included. Each session will include several presentations on related topics followed by a moderated panel Q&A. Speakers will be UNC Chapel Hill and external faculty, clinicians, and researchers.

Audience
Sports, family, and internal medicine physicians and APPs, physical therapists and assistants, athletic trainers, exercise specialists and researchers. Applications in process to provide education credit for physicians and APPs (CME), PTs (APTA NC), and ATs (BOC). 

Location
The conference will be held at the Friday Conference Center, 100 Friday Center Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. 

Registration Fee: Early Bird ends August 29! 
Payment accepted via credit card only. You will be redirected to the payment portal when registering. If you need an alternative option, email UNCSMI@med.unc.edu to discuss. 

Cancellation policy
You may cancel your registration for a refund minus 20% until August 29. If you cancel August 30 to September 12, you will receive a 50% refund. Beginning September 13, there will be no refund; however, if you are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances (i.e. quarantine or active COVID infection, natural disaster, death in family), the registration fee may be carried forward to next year’s conference with approval. To request a refund or future credit, email UNCSMI@med.unc.edu.
