Volunteer with Future Science Educators (FuSE) at the New Hope Elementary School Science Extravaganza, Wed Apr 24 5-7pm!
New Hope is a title 1 school (majority of students qualify for free or reduced lunch) and has a majority of families not natively speaking English at home, so the science extravaganza is a great way to engage with a population that don't always directly experience science and nature opportunities across the triangle.
We will help students build candy models of DNA while teaching them some information about this amazing molecule. We are seeking volunteers to help run our table from 5-7pm. The school address is 1900 New Hope Church Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
