Native nations maintain a distinct political relationship with the Untied States. Given this political standing, engaging tribal communities is often complex and diverse. This workshop will cover foundational information about the unique status of Native nations, survey the North Carolina tribal landscape, and offer general lessons in engaging tribal communities.
