Event hosts will share a comparison of needs-based vs. abundance-based approaches to community development and engage participants in their own storytelling activity. Participants in this event will learn about the innovative housing justice work of the Northside Neighborhood Initiative, a collaboration between the Jackson Center, the University, and community to preserve Chapel Hill and Carrboro's historically Black neighborhoods. The Jackson Center has multiple partnerships with Carolina and Carolina Engagement Week is pleased to feature three events across the week to spotlight work being done in collaboration with this great local community-based nonprofit organization.
