This online self-paced module is designed for paraprofessionals who work with and/or support elementary school learners with autism and their families in a variety of learning environments.
In this AFIRM4Paras module, Time Delay, professionals will learn how to plan for, use, and monitor the evidence-based practice. Time delay is used to systematically fade the use of prompting for a target skill or behavior. This module targets the basic rules of time delay, including using a controlling prompt, and provides interactive case activities for discussing a plan for, using, and monitoring time delay.

NOTE: If you have found this course through the UNC Event Registration System, you will need to go to the AFIRM website (afirm.fpg.unc.edu) to take the AFIRM4Paras: Time Delay module. Once you complete the module, you will have the option to pay for the CEUs through the UNC Event Registration System.

Within 45 days of receipt of payment, after confirmation of completion of module requirements, you will receive .2 CEUs for AFIRM4Paras Module: Time Delay from the Friday Center for Continuing Education.
