NCCMA Annual Conference, Feb. 26, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Registration: College media staffs and advisers in North Carolina are invited to participate in our annual conference aimed at encouraging and improving college media operations on public and private university and college campuses.
Important Update as of Feb. 3, 2022:
NOTE: One adviser and up to three students per campus may register for this event. We will limit the in-person event to 40 people.

When:  9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26

Deadline to Register: Feb. 21

Where:  UNC-Chapel Hill 

  • Break-out sessions and panel discussions for those on yearbook, news and literary magazine staffs. Preconference sessions the week preceding the event will include adviser and editor roundtables. 
  • Free 30-minute student media critiques the day of the conference, or scheduled virtual sessions, if the staff requests. (You must pre-register for these, however. Send an email with "NCCMA Critiques" and the name of your campus in the subject line to ewmeder@ncsu.edu by Feb. 21.)
  • Contest results: Best of Show and individual winners will be announced. 

Cost:  $20 per person. No refunds will be issued. No cancelations may be made. 2. A link to the conference site, with Zoom links and passcodes, will be sent on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. Preconference, one-hour virtual roundtables will be hosted at noon on Feb. 25. 

3. Notify NCCMA of accommodation requests by Feb. 14.

$250 Student Media Stipend: Students, apply for NCCMA's annual $250 Student Media Stipend. Conference attendees are eligible to propose a student media project of any kind and compete for a $250 stipend from NCCMA. Project proposals must be for work to be published in or shared through a student media outlets. Applications are to be submitted by 10 a.m. on the day of the conference.
