This online self-paced module is designed for professionals who work with and/or support learners with autism and their families in a variety of learning environments.
In this AFIRM module, Structured Play Groups , professionals will learn how to plan for, use, and monitor the evidence-based practice. Structured play groups are small group activities characterized by their occurrences in a defined area and with a defined activity, the specific selection of typically developing peers to be in the group, a clear delineation of theme and roles by adult leading, prompting, or scaffolding as needed to support
students' performance related to the goals of the activity.

NOTE: If you have found this course through the UNC Event Registration System, you will need to go to the AFIRM website (afirm.fpg.unc.edu) to register and take the Structured Play Groups module. Once you complete the module, you will have the option to pay for the CEs through the UNC Event Registration System.
